What is Prodigy Training Center?

We are a nearly 50,000 square foot training center with state-of-the-art facilities for wrestling, boxing, martial arts, mixed martial arts, fitness and conditioning. Our roster of coaches includes former Olympians, World and National Champions in their sports. We are located in Springboro, Ohio, halfway between Cincinnati and Dayton. As the largest facility of its kind in North America, we are within a single day's drive of 60% of the U.S. population.

Where did this idea come from?

Team Prodigy was started to be a place for people who were passionate about fitness and the sports of wrestling, boxing, martial arts and mixed martial arts. Recognizing that the discipline, character-building and fitness offered by these sports could benefit people of all ages and abilities, the team offers the facility to the community as a place to help people in mind, body and spirit, to offer all of these disciplines on an elite level, to introduce young people to these underserved sports and to share that passion. The goal is not only to improve our members' physical fitness and athletic prowess, but to help them lead better lives.

What sports do you train for?

We offer physical conditioning and training for any sport, and we have a roster of coaches with specific expertise in wrestling, boxing, martial arts and mixed martial arts.

What is the center's philosophy?

We believe discipline, character and commitment are as important for the athlete as skill and physical ability. Each of our programs is designed not only to elevate an athlete's skill and technique, but also their moral base and sportsmanship.

What are your upcoming events and camps?

We regularly update our Events with information about events, camps and clinics hosted in our facility, as well as those we're involved with outside of the center. Visit our Schedule page frequently to stay informed of weekly classes.

Where can I buy Team Prodigy T-shirts and other apparel?

We have a variety of items great for training and street wear available in our store inside the facility as well as in our Online Store. Check back frequently for new items.

How old do I have to be to participate at Prodigy?

We have wrestlers as young as six participating in beginning wrestling classes and camps. And our fitness facility provides access to anyone looking for a great fitness routine, regardless of age.

Do I have to be training for a sport?

No. At Team Prodigy, we believe physical fitness is an important part of life. We encourage the parents of youth involved in our camps and clinics to jump on the treadmill or join a kickboxing class. We're happy to talk to you general fitness programs.

Do you offer fitness programs?

Many of our coaches and trainers do double duty as instructors for our fitness classes and as personal trainers. Individuals and families with fitness memberships at Team Prodigy benefit from their experience in working with elite athletes to receive the best in fitness instruction.

Do I have to be a member to attend a camp, clinic or event?

You do not have to be a member. All of our structured programs are open to the public. But member discounts do apply to some camps, clinics and events.

Can I try it out first?

We offer limited trial periods and One Day Passes for those who are interested. Ask our staff for details.

Do youth train alongside adult athletes?

Students and youth train in the same building and sometimes on the same equipment as elite young adult athletes. Many of these athletes are training for international and even Olympic competition. But youth do not spar or compete against these adult athletes. In some cases, they serve as instructors, coaches and trainers for our youth programs and may demonstrate techniques. Our elite programs are selective, and these athletes subscribe to a strict Code of Conduct.

Will my child be exposed to boxers and Mixed Martial Arts fighters?

Prodigy Training Center is a premier facility for Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing and Martial Arts. We have many amateur and professional fighters training at Team Prodigy. These fighters use the same equipment and facilities as our youth program attendees. We are selective in our acceptance of only the most committed and dedicated athletes in our elite programs. And each of our Mixed Martial Arts fighters and boxers subscribe to a strict Code of Conduct. We believe values and character are an important part of our program design.

What kind of safety equipment do you use?

At Team Prodigy, we take every precaution to prevent injury, beginning with teaching every individual, athlete and young person the proper usage of the equipment. Our instructors and coaches are experienced and familiar with the safest techniques to teach their respective disciplines. We also utilize appropriate padding and protective gear for each sport. Head gear appropriate to each sport is mandatory for any programs involving contact. Our trainers and coaches are first aid and CPR trained, there's an emergency medical kit on the campus.
